INDUSTRIALIZATION OF RURAL AREAS: THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS, INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PROSPECTS FOR UZBEKISTAN

This article analyzes the economic significance, theoretical foundations, and practical mechanisms of rural industrialization. Issues such as deep processing of agricultural products, development of small and medium-sized industrial enterprises, and the establishment of agro-clusters are examined with the aim of creating new jobs in rural areas, increasing population income, and reducing the pressure of urbanization. The analysis is based on international experiences (China, India, and African countries) as well as Uzbekistan’s “Strategy for the Development of Agriculture 2020–2030,” World Bank projects, and Presidential decrees. The research findings indicate that industrialization is an effective tool for diversifying the rural economy, reducing poverty, and ensuring sustainable development. The article provides practical recommendations for policymakers, researchers, and local authorities.
