Abstract

The article examines the specifics of English-language borrowings in contemporary Russian youth slang. It highlights the unique lexical, phonetic, and grammatical features of Anglicisms, emphasizing their expressive and social functions. The study identifies the main thematic groups of slang vocabulary, including youth parties, music, clothing, money, and personal designations, and demonstrates that borrowings primarily reflect leisure and entertainment rather than educational or professional spheres. The process of Anglicization in youth slang is shown to be oral, selective, and intensive, marking a distinctive stage in the development of modern Russian slang.
