MODERN METHODS OF AI-ASSISTED TEACHING IN MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSES (MOOCS)

Abstract
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have emerged as a revolutionary model of education, providing large-scale access to learning opportunities across the globe. Despite their rapid expansion and popularity, MOOCs face significant pedagogical challenges, including low completion rates, limited personalization, insufficient learner engagement, and minimal instructor support. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into MOOC platforms has introduced innovative teaching and learning methods aimed at overcoming these limitations. This article explores modern AI-assisted teaching methods in MOOCs by examining their theoretical foundations and practical applications. The study highlights the role of adaptive learning systems, intelligent tutoring systems, learning analytics, automated assessment, and AI-driven content delivery in enhancing the effectiveness and quality of MOOC-based education. The findings suggest that AI technologies have the potential to transform MOOCs into more learner-centered, efficient, and inclusive educational environments.
