POLITICAL METAPHOR IN DIPLOMATIC NEGOTIATIONS: RHETORIC, STRATEGY, AND TRANSLATION

The article explores the role of political metaphors in diplomatic negotiations conducted in Arabic. Metaphor is viewed as an important tool of rhetorical influence and strategic positioning. The study analyzes typical metaphorical constructions in the speeches of Arab and international leaders, their pragmatic function, and the methods of rendering them into Russian. Particular attention is paid to the difficulties of translating metaphors arising from cultural specificity and political sensitivity.
