This article examines the mechanisms, principles, and modern approaches to regulating the socio-economic development of regions. The study analyzes the factors influencing regional growth, including demographic dynamics, investment activity, infrastructure development, and the efficiency of local governance. Special attention is given to the role of state regulation, strategic planning, and regional policy instruments aimed at reducing territorial disparities and ensuring balanced development. The research also highlights the importance of decentralization, digitalization, and public–private partnerships in improving regional competitiveness. Based on analytical findings, the paper proposes recommendations for enhancing regulatory frameworks and strengthening sustainable socio-economic progress across regions.
