This article discusses the issues of improving the methodology for developing flexibility in 7–8-year-old gymnasts. During the study, a system of stretching and bending exercises was developed, taking into account the physiological characteristics of young athletes. Dynamic and static exercises were used in the training, and the load was distributed within physiological norms. The results showed a significant increase in joint mobility and muscle elasticity. The methodology is recommended as an effective factor in improving the physical fitness of young gymnasts.Downloads
