This article provides a comparative analysis of the linguistic and semantic features of color expressions and phraseologisms in Uzbek and English. The study studies the national-cultural content of phraseological units with a color component, their connotative meanings, and the features of their use in speech. It was also revealed that in both languages, figurative thinking, mentality and cultural values are reflected through colors. As a result, the common and different aspects of phraseologisms related to color names were revealed, and their problems in the translation process were also highlighted.
